Keeping the estimate and schedule in-sync is important for design-build projects, A+B jobs, or other bidding situations requiring both an estimate and project schedule submission. Keeping the two in-sync, however, can be difficult and time-consuming.
In the new HeavyBid 2013 release, we’ve added two important features that will make it simpler and faster to keep the estimate and schedule in-sync.
New Microsoft Project Integration
Exporting from HeavyBid to Microsoft Project is now even faster. With a single click of the mouse, you can create cost- and resource-loaded project schedules, saving you or your scheduler hours or days of manual data-entry time.
Two-Way Integration with Primavera P6 and MS Project
We’ve also added new two-way integration between HeavyBid and both Microsoft Project and Primavera, allowing you to bring changes made in the schedule back into the estimate. When duration changes are made to schedule activities, HeavyBid can import them and give you a side-by-side comparison of the estimated and scheduled durations on the new “Schedule Analysis” tab. The estimator can then choose how to change the estimate to meet the schedule, such as adding overtime, adding a second shift, modifying or changing the crews, or changing the production rate.
Below is a brief video demo of these new features.
